தேர்தல் முடிவுகள் தமிழர்களுக்கு பாதகமான விளைவுகளையே தரும்.

இலங்கையில் நடந்த உள்ளூராட்சித் தேர்தலில் போர்க்குற்றம் புரிந்ததாக குற்றம் சாட்டப்படும் ராஜபக்ச சகோதரர்களின் ஆட்சிக்கு எதிராக தமிழ் மக்கள் வாக்களித்தமையை இட்டுப் பலரும் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைந்துள்ளனர். தமிழர்கள் தமக்கு ஆதரவாக இருக்கிறார்கள் என்று உலகிற்கு காட்டி தம்மீது சுமத்தப் பட்டுள்ள போர்க்குற்றத்தை திசை திருப்ப தேர்தல் முடிவுகளை தமக்கு சாதகமாக வர ராஜபக்ச சகோதரர்கள் பெரும் பிரயத்தனம் செய்தனர். அது மட்டுமல்ல தமிழர்கள் இனப்பிரச்சனையைக் கருத்தில் கொள்ளவில்லை அவர்கள் தம் பிரதேசங்களில் அபிவிருத்தியையும் மறுவாழ்வையும் மறுசீரமைப்பையுமே வேண்டி நிற்கின்றனர். அதனால் அவர்கள் எங்களுக்கு வாக்குக்களை அள்ளிப் போட்டனர். அதனால் அபிவிருத்தி, மறுவாழ்வு, மறுசீரமைப்புக்கு அள்ளிக் கொடுங்கள் நிதிகளை என்று உலக நாடுகளைக் கேட்கலாம். அதை வைத்து மேலும் சிங்களவர்களை வடக்குக் கிழக்கில் குடியேற்றலாம் என்றும் அவர்கள் எண்ணியிருந்தனர். ஆனால் வடக்குக் கிழக்கில் வாழும் தமிழர்கள் வேறுவிதமாகச் சிந்தித்தனர்.

இலங்கையின் வரலாற்றில் ஒர் உள்ளூராட்சித் தேர்தல் முடிவுகளைப் பற்றி உலகெங்கும் செய்தி அடிபட்டது இதுவே முதற்தடவை. வெளிவந்த சில கருத்துக்கள்:

• JAFFNA, Sri Lanka, July 29 (Reuters) - Sri Lanka's old war zone has been at peace for two years but the minority Tamils who populate it say they are hungry for jobs, despite the economic revival the government has offered instead of the political powers for which Tamils first took up arms. In Sri Lanka's north and east, people last week voted for the first time in at least 12 years and as many as 29 to elect local councils, two years after the military wiped out the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) to end a 25-year war. President Mahinda Rajapaksa's ruling United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) swept 250 councils out of 299, but lost miserably in predominantly Tamil electorates, in areas the Tigers wanted to turn into a Tamil-only nation.

•   The Weekend Leader - Ramu Manivannan -The remarkable success of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA), the umbrella organization of Tamil Political parties in the recently held local body elections in the North and East of Sri Lanka is yet another reaffirmation of the Tamils’ belief in their right to self determination. The TNA won 18 of the 26 local bodies in the region in an election they fought amidst hostile conditions.

• விகடன்: தமிழீழம் அமைவதற்கான முன்னோடியாகவே இலங்கையில் நடந்து முடிந்த உள்ளாட்சித் தேர்தல் முடிவுகள் இருப்பதாக மதிமுக பொதுச்செயலர் வைகோ கருத்து தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

• Asia Times: Local election results in Sri Lanka indicate that while President Mahinda Rajapaksa can still count on solid support in the Sinhala south, his post-war development strategy to address Tamil alienation has failed to cut ice with Tamils in the north and east. The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) exceeded expectations to take control of 18 of 26 local bodies in the north and east in the polls on Saturday. Another Tamil party, the Tamil United Liberation Front, took two local councils - both in Killinochchi district - where it was reportedly backed by the TNA.

• ஆயுத எழுத்து புதுவை ராம்ஜி: அண்மையில் நடைபெற்ற இலங்கை உள்ளாட்சித் தேர்தல் முடிவுகள் என்பது, மக்களாட்சியில் வாக்குச் சீட்டுகள் மக்களின் மனசாட்சியாக இருக்கின்றன என்பதற்கு ஒரு உதாரணமாக இருக்கின்றன. இலங்கை உள்ளாட்சித் தேர்தலில், அந்தத் தீவு முழுவதிலும் 65 மாகாணங்களில் போட்டியிட்ட ராஜபட்ச்சே  ஆதரவுபெற்ற  ஐக்கிய மக்கள் சுதந்திரக் கூட்டமைப்பு மொத்தம் 45 இடங்களில் வெற்றிபெற்றிருந்தாலும், தமிழர்கள் வாழும்  இலங்கையின் வடக்கு மற்றும் கிழக்குப் பகுதியில் உள்ள 6 மாகாணங்களில் 2 இடங்களில் மட்டுமே வெற்றி பெற்றிருக்கிறது    விடுதலைப் புலிகள் இயக்கத்துக்கு ஆதரவான தமிழ் தேசியக் கூட்டமைப்பு 18 இடங்களில் வெற்றிபெற்றிருப்பதும், புலிகள் இயக்கத்துக்குக் கொள்கையளவில் மாறுபட்டிருந்த தமிழ் ஐக்கிய விடுதலை முன்னணி 2 இடங்களில் வெற்றி பெற்றிருப்பதும், ராஜபட்ச்சே  மீதான இலங்கைத் தமிழர்களின் கோபத்தை ஒட்டுமொத்தமாக உலகுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தியிருக்கிறார்கள் என்பது தான் பொருள்.

• Ground Views: The Tamil people have – by ensuring the victory of the TNA – accepted and supported the recommendations of the UN [Panel’s report], which state that the government’s war crimes and human rights abuses require an impartial international investigation. The TNA asks that this verdict of the Tamil people be respected and that the government accept and allow an international investigation. The TNA requests that the international community continues to pressure the government to provide a political solution that allows the Tamil people to live in their homeland with dignity and freedom.

• New York Times:     Voters in northern and eastern Sri Lanka gave an alliance of parties closely linked to the defeated Tamil Tiger insurgency majorities in 18 of 26 local council elections, according to results released Sunday. The elections allowed residents in many areas the first chance in years to vote after bearing the brunt of two decades of ethnic conflict, and the results underscored just how deeply divided the country remains two years after the fighting ended.

• தமிழ்வின்: தமிழரசுக்கட்சியின் சிரேஷ்ட துணைத் தலைவர் பேராசிரியர் சி.க.சிற்றம்பலம் : தலைவர்கள் தவறிழைத்தாலும் தமிழ் மக்கள் தவறிழைக்க மாட்டார்கள் என்று 1949ல் தந்தை செல்வா அவர்கள் தீர்க்க தரிசனமாகக் கூறிய கூற்று இன்று நிதர்சனமாகிவிட்டது. இவ்வுரிமைப் போராட்டத்தில் தந்தையும், அவரோடு இணைந்த தளபதிகளும், தனயர்களும் செய்த தியாகம் வீண்போகவில்லை என்பதையும் இன்றும் மக்கள் அவற்றை மறக்கவில்லை என்பதையும் இம் முடிவுகள் துலாம்பரப்படுத்தியுள்ளன. தேர்தல் முடிவுகள் இலங்கைத் தமிழரசுக் கட்சியின் மீதோ அன்றித் தமிழ்த் தேசியக் கூட்டமைப்பின் மீதோ உள்ள பற்றினால் அளிக்கப்பட்ட வாக்குகள் எனக் கருதுவதும் தவறு. தமிழ் மக்களின் உரிமைக் குரலின் குறியீடாக இவர்கள் விளங்குவதால்தான் இவர்களின் தலைமையை மக்கள் அங்கீகரித்துள்ளனர்.

• The Independent:     In a set-back for Sri Lanka's ruling party, the Tamil National Alliance has won a landslide victory in local elections, capturing 20 out of 25 seats it contested in areas formerly held by rebels of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. Tamil politicians in the north and east of the country said yesterday that the results had delivered them a mandate to pursue change, adding that the Government in Colombo should work towards delivering a genuine political settlement.

• ஜூனியர் விகடன்: மக்கள் மனச்சாட்சியைச் சொன்ன உள்ளாட்சித் தேர்தல்! இலங்கையில் கடந்த 23-ம் தேதி வடக்கு மாகாணம் மற்றும் கிழக்கு மாகாணத்தில் நடந்தது. கிட்டத்தட்ட 28 ஆண்டுகளாக அனுபவித்த வலியை, உள்ளாட்சித் தேர்தல் முடிவில் வலிமையுடன் காட்டி இருக்கிறார்கள் ஈழத் தமிழர்கள்! இது மஹிந்த ராஜபக்சவுக்கு விழுந்த சம்மட்டி அடியாகும்.

• BBC:   Sri Lanka's biggest Tamil party has won local elections in the island's former war zone in the north and east. The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) took 18 out of 26 councils in what is being seen as a rare electoral setback for the government of President Rajapaksa. His Sinhalese-dominated coalition won in all other areas being contested. The TNA was in effect a proxy of the Tamil Tigers, who troops defeated in May 2009, but it now seeks greater devolution for Sri Lanka's provinces.

• TamilNet:    The results of civic elections in the country of Eezham Tamils decisively show that despite maximum intimidation and ‘development’ lures, people reject the paradigm of ‘collaboration-reconciliation’ but determinedly favour a polity of peace, based on the identity of their nation, political observers in the island said on Sunday. The message should be useful in seeking innovative and creative ways to resolve the national question in the island in order to achieve peace and stability in the region, they further said.

தமிழ்நாட்டு சட்டசபைத் தேர்தல் முடிவுகள் காங்கிரசுக் கட்சிக்கு பலத்த அடியாகவே அமைந்தன. அதற்காக காங்கிரசுக் கட்சி இலங்கைத் தமிழர்கள் தொடர்பாக தனது கொள்கையை மாற்றவுமில்லை மாற்றப் போவதும் இல்லை. அடுத்த லோக்சபாத் தேர்தலில் ஜெயலலிதாவுடன் கூட்டுச் சேரலாம் என்ற நம்பிக்கையுடன் காங்கிரசு இருக்கலாம். பேரினவாதிகள் திருந்துவதில்லை.

இலங்கையில் தமிழர்கள் தமிழ்த்தேசியத்திற்கு ஆதரவாக வாக்களிப்பது இது முதற் தடவையல்ல. ஒவ்வொரு தேர்தலிலும் தமிழர்கள் இதையே செய்து வருகின்றனர். அதி உயர் பயமுறுத்தல்களுக்கு மத்தியில் தமிழர்கள் இம்முறை வாக்களித்தது சிந்திக்க வேண்டியதுதான். ஆனால் பேரினவாதிகள் திருந்துவதில்லை. அவர்கள் தொடர்ந்து அடக்கு முறைகளில் ஈடுபட்டு வருகின்றனர். உதயன்  பிரதம செய்தியாசிரியர் குகநாதன் மீது கொடுரத் தாக்குதல், ஆளும் கட்சியின் வெற்றி வாய்ப்புக்கு ஏற்ப குளறுபடி செய்யாத அரச ஊழியர்களின் மீது பழிவாங்கல் எல்லாம் பேரினவாதிகள் திருந்துவதில்லை என்பதேயே காட்டுகிறது.

உயிருடன் இருக்கும் தமிழத்தேசியவாதம் உதைக்குமா? still alive! Will it hick?
சிங்களமக்களும் ஆட்சியாளர்களும்  தமிழர் பிரதேசங்களின் தேர்தல் முடிவுகளைப் பார்த்து தாம் கொன்றொழித்து விட்டதாக மார்தட்டிக் கொண்டிருந்த தமிழ்த்தேசியவாதம் இப்போதும் உயிருடனேயே இருக்கின்றது என்று உணர்ந்து கொண்டனர். அவர்கள் இப்போது யோசிப்பது உயிருடன் இருக்கும் தமிழ்த்தேசியவாதம் மீண்டும் உதைக்குமா என்பதே. தமிழ்த்தேசியவாதத்தை எப்படி ஒழித்துக்கட்டுவது என்பது பற்றியே சிங்களவர்கள் இனிக் கவனம் செலுத்துவர். 1970 களில் தமிழ் அரசியல் கட்சிகள் ஒன்றிணைந்தவுடன் சிறிமாவே பண்டார நாயக்க செய்த முதல் வேலை சீனாவில் இருந்து பல ஆயுதங்களைக் கொள்வனவு செய்ததே. 1977இல் தமிழர்கள் தமிழ்த்தேசியவாதத்திற்கு அபரிமிதமான ஆதரவைத் தெரிவித்த பின்னர் தமிழர்களுக்கு எதிராக வன்முறை ஜே ஆர் ஜயவர்த்தன் அரசினால் கட்டவிழ்த்து விடப்பட்டது. அந்த வன்முறைக்கு தமிழர்கள் அடங்காமற் போகவே மீண்டும் சிங்களப் பேரினவாதம் தமிழர் மீது மேலும் மோசமான வன்முறையை 1983இல் கட்டவிழ்த்து விட்டனர். தமிழர்கள் அடுத்த அரச பேரினவாதக் கோர தாண்டவத்தை எதிர் கொள்ளலாம். போர்க்குற்றத்தில் சம்பந்தம் இருப்பதாகக் கருதப்படும் இந்தியா மீண்டும் இலங்கை அரச பயங்கரவாதத்திற்கு பேருதவி புரியும். இதிலிருந்து தப்ப ஒரே வழி இலங்கை ஆட்சியாளர்களுக்கு எதிரான போர்க்குற்றச் சாட்டிற்கு வலுச் சேர்ப்பதே. பேரினவாதிகள் திருந்துவதில்லை.
